Do you mean the last HORSE to reach the finish line? If so, they just switch horses.

To get on the other person's horse.

I dont know tell me
maybe she told them who wasnt goin to win??
??

E-mail me the answer, jmounts15@yahoo.com, thanks!

I think that you worded the riddle a little bit wrong.
It should be worded to say that the boy whose horse comes in last will be the heir.
Then the answer to the riddle is to switch horses. (So that they boys are riding the other's horse.)

switch bodies. (it would be switch horses, but you said the last son, not the last horse.)

Move The finish line

they would switch horses

tie?

switch horses

change horses

the old woman told them both to go really fast then stop right before they cross the finish line so the other can cross the finish line first accidently for going too fast and not being fast enough to stop the horse before they cross the finish line

So, what is the real answer?

I like the 'switch horses' one. It makes sense.
I also like the one that someone gave here: That they decided to trick each other into accidently crossing the finish line.
