Question: A boat is floating out at sea.
There is a ladder fixed to the side of the boat.
The ladder has 7 rungs, with the bottom rung at the same level as the sea.
Each rung is exactly 1 foot (12 inches) apart.

If the water level rises at a rate of 6 inches every 20 minutes, how long will it be until the water is level with the 4th rung of the ladder?

If it is fixed to the boat it will never happen. Last I checked the boat will always float on the rising water.
