It's a short punt (Kick) in football.
In football, it is usually a punt that you only want to go a few yards to try and get the ball back, or have your guys making the tackle as soon as the returner catches it.
i bet johnny wilkinson knows the answer better than i do, but i'd try to explain anyway, it's a short kick, usually used for passing, other than that, it's useless, u can't exactly use that kick to score like johnny. hope it helps!!!
