i never thought of the ice block thing which is probably right... so I'll say what I would have said: Is it a trick question? because maybe if there was no windows no water could get in... It's probably wrong but.. meh.
The guy stood on a block of ice and waited. As time passed, the ice melted, creating the puddle of water on the floor, and hanging the man. That would be a slow way to die, probably very painful for lasting so long.

He stood on a block of ice to get high enough to the ceiling and then hung himself. The ice block had then melted away leaving only a puddle.

i know i aint gonna get 10 points, but the third answer is the right answer, i saw a fimiliar suicide on tv once, but that man sticked a knife in the ice cube and jumbed with his back to the knife as if some one stabbed him in the back.
