Try to negotiate with him. Alternately, you can give him a time out to think about his misdeeds or you can try grounding him. Some turtles respond to camaraderie - you help him out a little and it gets done faster. He'll come around. Finally, you can threaten that he can be replaced! But only if you really mean it. He'll lose respect for you otherwise.
