Question: you see your left side where other people see your right side and vice versa. Why don't you see your chin where your forehead is and vice versa?

Because mirrors don't turn you upside-down.
Even if it did, your forehead would be where your ankles are...not where your chin is.

Well think about it. It is a reflection of what is being placed in front of it. Your left stays on the left and the right stays on the right, and the top(forehead) and bottom(chin) stay there as well.

It's all to do with the angles of incidence of the light rays showing your reflection, bouncing off the mirrors' surface, and into your eyes. The image formed by the lens is then projected onto the retina and visualised by the brain as the right way up. But a very good point!
