We don't need insurance from acts of God or Gods because we are protected by 4-leafed clovers, rabbits' feet, lucky heather and other such charms (which seem to work just as well as St Christopher Medals and other baubles). And we don't have time for dodgy predictions from deluded individuals who only get it right once in a 1000 guesses.
