The egg must have come first because creatures do not evolve while they are still alive. So what ever creature existed before the chicken laid the egg that hatched into a chicken.
Well thats my opinion. Because something cannot be born then evolve during its life and lay a chick egg.
But according to my answer the creature slowly changed over probably hundreds of years. But chicken lay eggs to new borns so the egg had to come first layed by a creature that was like 99.999999% chicken. and that egg was the last step. It probably does not make sense and true evolution scientists can probably prove all my thinking wrong in a second but hey this is the best I can do.
