How did they all escape safely?!

Question: A captive queen and her son and daughter were shut up in the top room of a very high tower. Outside their window was a pulley with a rope around it, and a basket fastened to each end of the rope of equal weight. They managed to escape with the help of this and a weight they found in the room, quite safely. It would have been dangerous for any of them to come down if they weighed 15 lbs more than the content of the other basket, for they would do so too quick, and they also managed not to weigh less either.

The one basket coming down would naturally of course draw the other basket up.

The queen weighed 195 lbs, daughter 105, son 90, and the weight 75 lbs.

How did they all escape safely?

Ha! Ha! Ha! I solved it!!!

WHAT???? tricky tricky can't wait to know?

they called 911

while one went down the other went up with the other side of the rope.

The daughter and son got into one basket the queen into the other and the weight was left in the room.

The son & daughter was on one end and the queen on the other...that would make the weight equal??

I'm sorry I can't answer your riddle cause I can't get over the fact that your name is BM!!!!
omg...that's so funny...........
lol

.........................................
please pick THIS ONE for best answer

the queen 195 lbs goes in one basket, the daughter and the weight go in the other basket (total 180 lbs).

the queen gets off, the daughter and weight come down next and she gets off, the weight stays at bottom, other basket is now at top of tower, so gets in 90lbs and drops, while the 75 lb weight goes up

superb question...

I'm unable to visualize it well. I think that son went down in one basket with weight in other basket. Then he opens the tower door and the ladies walk down the stairs and out the door?

THEY CALL 4 THE FIRE BRIGADE...............

They put the weight in one basket and lower it down together.
The son enters the second basket and safely reaches the ground. The daughter and queen take out the weight in the first basket and the daughter climbs in. With her brother in the other basket she safely reaches the ground. The brother exits his basket and places the weight in it and lowers it. He climbs in and is again safely lowered. The queen removes the weight while the sister joins her brother in the basket. The queen then climbs into the now empty basket and is safely lowered. The siblings exit their basket and place the weight into it and lower it. Then the brother enters and is safely lowered. The sister then removes the weight, enters and is safely lowered. The brother having exited the basket places the weight back in and lowers it. Then he enters the other basket and is safely lowered.

They lowered the weight to the ground, the son got in the upper basket and went down.

The queen and daughter then removed the now raised second weight and the daughter went down, raising the son.

The son and queen then lowered the weight, the daughter got in with the weight and the queen went down, raising the daughter and weight.

The daughter and son lowered the weight again, the son went down again; the daughter removed the weight, got into the basket and went down again, raising the son.

The son lowered the weight to the ground, then got in the basket and lowered himself to the ground...

Where, having safely escaped thus, they were all smashed by the plummeting basket with weight!

Dont know.....

scapels ,scales, and calculators?

entertaining question but no patience to attempt it

Not interesting,sorry.
