Question: can you solve this riddle (i made it myself really quickly so its proberly not good, i hope u think its hard)
i am lanky.
i am sarounded by wood.
i am sharp on one end.
i lose my sharpness when i leave a mark.

pencil Lead....
You are the graphite (lead) in a pencil.
i know a pencil
the graphite in a pencil
it's a lead pencil
or a spear... loses its sharpness when it cuts which would leave a mark on the target...
a flame/fire?
under high fuel (gas/bunsen burner) it becomes long and "lanky"
surrounded by wood: campfire
sharp on one end - flames are pointy on one end
loose sharpness when leaves a mark: when a flame burns something, and makes it chard, thus leaving a mark, you have to have contact with the thing, and when you do so, it err.. blocks the flame from making the pointy end, thus loosing its sharpness..
not your usual answer, but creative enough, just like the riddle...
