What is this laughing noise my dove makes?!

Question: So, I have a very tame dove who is about four years old. Since I had him, I noticed this sudo-maniacal laughing sound he makes. Every time I go up to his cage, he always jumps toward the door and "laughs". Whenever my daughter, of whom he hates comes near him, he jumps at her and "laughs". What does this laughing sound mean? Does it mean he is happy? Does this mean he is angry? He also coos and bows down to us over and over and over and over and over and over again- and always right near our faces. Why does he do this? He is VERY tame and comes when we call him. Does this make a difference?

(yes, I reposted this because I only got two answers last time)

If this dove of yours hates your daughter, it obviously doesn't mean he's happy...

Maybe he thinks you're all funny looking?

Why is this in the joke and riddle section?

This "laugh" happens to mean that he is a wee bit irritated.
