Racist commercial showcasing the perceptions Asians have about Black people?!

Question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byok6vipe...

First, the little girl loses her balloon. The black guy climbs up this huge pole and gets the balloon for the girl. Then the Asian mother screams in terror when she finds her sweet Asian daughter with the black man. The black guy then goes to sleep on the bristles of a humongous toothbrush, morphs into the black toothpaste on normal sized toothbrush and then the tagline. And the tagline is-- "Appearances can be deceiving."

This ad touched me somewhere the Black guy looked so innocent and kind I wanted to like hug him. I'm Pakistani Muslim and sad to admit negative stereotypes about Blacks persist even today everywhere in Asia

I think the black guy was a peado, as look how many balloons he had in his room (other children he had try to lure),
therefore the morale of the ad is that blacks are thiefs and cheats and should not be trusted

Massalama - I thought it was pretty racist, but that was the point of the commercial, to not let stereotypes fool you.

In a society like this, there is a lot of stereotypes regarding peoples culture, race religion etc. Its a shame how people rely on these stereotypes. stereotypes are actually caused by the media, as in most movies you'd probably see a black guy mobbing a woman etc. this thus effects peoples views globally as the media portrays the black people as 'theives' etc. so really its partially our fault for believeing these stereotypes and mainly the medias fault for showing these false images and perceptions.

To be honest it's just as racist against Asians, stereotyping them aswell. The ones I know aren't like that.

Racism is sad any time, everywhere. The planet got progress in the technology and bla, bla, but the racism still the same everywhere.

How sad the commercial was w/the music used, I too wanted to hug the black guy and tell him not everyone is like that. If I was the Mom I would have thanked him for the balloon for my daughter NOT shout at him,wow what an insensitive ungrateful b****!

sounds racist to me especially the toothbrush part

ok

all i have to say is WTF? that is an awful commercial

ok thats kinda rude cuz not all asians are racist
im azn n im DEFINATELY not racists like most of my friends are of different color than me
i dont know why some azns are racist those ppl have problems but ppl cant just classify as all azns being racist...
so yeah not all azns are like that..
its just wrong n i hate it..
