Detective Riddle?!
Question: this is my favorite riddle ever! whoever solves it first gets 10 points. if noone finds it in 3 days, then i will post the answer. so here we go!
"Darn that rain!" said Detective Smart. "Three days now, and it hasn't stopped." A few minutes later he gets a call from a policeman stating that a very rich man was found dead with a bullet on his head in his mansion. Immediately, Detective Smart goes to the mansion to interrogate the people living in the house....the nephew, the niece, the butler, and the maid. The maid said that she was out shopping, and came to check on him and found him dead. The niece said that she was outside sunbathing by the pool and was listening to music so she didn't hear anything. The butler said that he was with the niece, cleaning the pool. The nephew's answer was that he was out with friends drinking, and he got home late, passed out, and woke up when he heard the maid scream.
I know exactly who the murderer is said Detective Smart.

The niece and butler. No point in cleaning a pool if its raining... and you can't sunbathe in rain either.
well, it's the NIECE, isn't it... because it was raining! and she was sunbathing by the pool, right? ..... so there lays the answer....
but, I have seen it rain when it's been perfectly sunny outside at the same time..., but a riddle is a riddle, and so it shal be!
the niece is guilty, so sad, too bad. :)
it was the niece AND the butler- they are both lying since they both have the pool involved. one is covering for the other or they were accomplices.
well it would have been the niece and the butler because the butler said he was with the niece.
how does he die with a bullet ON his head?
i think it was the nephew
he committed suicide. the niece and butler were getting it on together in the pool house while the maid seduced the drunk, blacked-out nephew stealing his virginity and the rich uncle couldn't take it! Viola suicide!
the neice and the butler, they said it was raining so why go sunbathing and why clean the pool?? but sorry just curious why did the maidgo shopping?
If the man died the day before , then I guess it was the maid who murdered him, as why hasn't she checked on him yesterday if she was telling the truth , she got advantages of the absence of all the others from the scene . Also generally it is the butler who handles shopping usually , and if this is the case , I still guess it is the maid .
