cut it in half, then in quarters. then through the entire middle, disecting the 4 slices into 8.

2 cuts on top and one cut in the middle on the side part

Very carefully?

mmmmmmmmmmm........cake

One straight line then 2 diagonal lines i think

He cut it in the center, into two round cakes, and then, with them on top of each other, cut straight across and then perpendicular to that cut, separating each cake into quarters with the same two cuts.

It could be a two teir cake. Cut the whole intire cake like an x down both teirs then cut the first teir off or a one tier cake cut it like an x the cut though the middle side of the cake =]

he cut straight thro twice and then made a cirle in the middle of it

First he cut the cake from the top into quarters, which makes it 2 cuts. Then he cut the cake into half by cutting in the middle portion from the side view, adding another cut. So 1/4 x 2 = 1/8
There you have 8 slices :) Classic cake maths question

yummyyyy.....cake....
