One day at my supermarket's produce department...?!
Question: One day at my supermarket's produce dept., I was working when this man came up and asked me to sell him a half a head of cabbage. I tried to explain to him nicely that we only sell whole heads of cabbage but he started getting very loud & nasty about it. So I told him I would talk to the produce dept. manager and see what he had to say about it. I left the sales floor and headed back to the storeroom to talk to the manager but I do not see that the man had followed me back there. When I saw the manager I said "Boss, there's some idiot out there who wants to buy a half a head of cabbage..." As I finished that sentence, I spotted the customer out of the corner of my eye. Thinking fast, I then said"... and this nice gentleman here is willing to buy the other half!"
