Answers: In the movie Good Will Hunting, Matt Damon makes a joke by asking a man he met at a bar with: "Do you like apples? I got a number, how do you like them apples?"

What happened was, he got the girl's telephone number so he could date her. He "beat out" the other guy; he won the competition between them, right? He said, really, "I got HER number."

There's an idiom (expression) in English: "How do you like them apples?". It means, "How do you like THAT?? HUH??"

So, he was saying, Do you like apples? That part is meaningless, except to get to the line: How do you like them apples? See? I WON!!

If I'm not mistaken...he got the girl's phone number...could be wrong...I haven't watched it in a while.

stormy is right

"How do you like them apples" is an old expression for "How do you like that?", usually in a bragging way. Maybe he was bragging that he got a phone number from a hot chick and the other guy didn't.

stormy is right he got the girls number and miss understood is correct.
