5 Men are traveling along a lane?!
Question: It begins to rain. 4 of them quicken their steps and get wet. The 5th man does not quicken his step and stays dry. He did not have an umbrella or a hat and there was no overhang for this lane. How can this be?

The 4 people who get wet are pual bearers. The 5th guy is dead and in a coffin. The fifth man has no step to quicken, but the 4 want to hurry so they don't get too wet.

The fifth guy was hit by a vehicle of some sort...leaving him dry but dead or injured very bad, most likely blowing in the wind on the hood of the vehicle leaving him blow dry

"he does not quicken his steps", because he was never walking.
"he did not have an umbrella or a hat and there was no overhang", because a car has a roof to keep you dry
