Two convicts are locked in a cell...........?!

Question: There is an unbarred window high up in the cell.
No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape.
They then decide to tunnel out.
However, they give up with the tunnelling because it will take too long.
Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell.

What is his plan?

they take the dirt from the tunnel and make it into a pile and they stand on each others shoulders.

They could move everything in the cell to the window and escape, or convince the guard to give them the keys.

Well first one of the convicts stands on the bed and the then other one stands on his shoulder

a convict stands on the bed and the other guy stands ontop of the guy tats under him

Nothing was mentioned about a locked door..
Plan: Open door, walk out.
