Answers: A frog fell into a hole that was 14 1/2 feet deep. He could jump 3 feet, but he slid back a foot each time he jumped. How many jumps does it take him to get out of the hole?
if u do it manually it would go like this
1st jump - 12 1/2
2nd jump - 10 1/2
3rd jump - 8 1/2
4th jump - 6 1/2
5th jump - 4 1/2
6th jump - 2 1/2
7th jump - out of the hole
It took the frog 7 jumps to get out of the hole
5?
quite a few
8
Well I'm using math to solve it.
14.5ft<(3ft-1ft) x jumps
14.5<2j
7.25<j
You cannot jump a fraction so 8 jumps
8
8 and a half lol
If he could only jump three feet then call the frog mortician. He's in the hole until they come to collect his bones.
It would take him 7 and 1/4 jumps if he progressed upwards with each jump but if he landed back at the bottom each time, he would never get out of the hole.
8?
i think 8
he'll never get out... he can ony jump 3 feet so how can he reach the opening? no matter how many jumps you make, if its only 3 feet always, it doesn't help...
oh poor frogy ! he never got out there ...
oh nooooooooooooooooooooo!
if he did then it should be probably 5 times .
Oh Mr.froggy !
it took 9 jumps
Good morning
I would have to say 8 jumps he nets 2 feet a jump... 2 goes into 14, 7 times and he still has half a foot to go so he needs to jump 1 more to get out of the hole....so total jumps 8
8
8 times
Not even a million jumps. If he could only jump 3 feet, he couldn't possibly get out of the 14 1/2 feet deep hole...
it would have to be 8
Sorry Mechelle, Just got out of bed, so you have caught me on the "hop".
8.
surely he wouldnt be able to get out.?

If he's in a hole...how is he going to get out? Unless he can actually jump 14 1/2 feet in one go.
Zero. lol. Then froglegs, yum, yum.
