My friends and I made a copy of my best friend's apartment key, and went over with a huge stack of sticky notes. You can get over a thousand for about five bucks. We labeled everything in her apartment with a sticky note. Plate. Plate. Plate. Spoon. Milk. Bed. Mess. Mess. Mess. (she uses her floor as a closet). Six months later, she's still finding them under the couch cushions, on toiletries, on books. (took 3 of us about 3 hours)
It was legendary. I still only have to put a sticky note on her computer or front door to make her get worried. She hasn't come up with anything to top it yet!
