Question: A degree is simply a piece of paper that "proves" you learned something, or met some arbitrary qualification set by man.
If it is true that you can't take it with you when you die, then, no, it won't go with you. The paper stays right where it is at.
If, however, there really is an afterlife of some sort, one would assume that any knowledge you have gained in this life will transcend with you to the next, thus you WOULD take the knowledge with you.
