Who would you call in this case?!
Question: I was driving down the high way one day, a few hours from home. I was traveling with a friend, chatting and listening to some good music. Enjoying life...
Suddenly, there comes screaming up behind us an ambulance with full sirens and lights. Being a good citizen, I pulled over to make sure there was clear path for the EMT's and the unfortunate victim inside the vehicle.
Just as they went passed us, I noticed a small cooler, those 'playmate' type ones, with the locking cover. IT was sitting on the rear bumper!!! Just then the cooler tumbled off, onto the shoulder and the ambulance driver continued down the road - oblivious to the loss.
Well, we jumped out and grabbed up the cooler, and curiously wondering we looked inside. Can you imagine what we saw?!
It was part of a mans foot, that included the largest digit, some bone and flesh!!!! All this was packed in a frigid combination of ice and dry ice... We were shocked!!
What do you do? Who do you call?

You make your friend stop pullin your leg like you're pullin mine now!
The bone collector, you could get a good deal on that.
But seriously i don't know what i would do in that situation, probably cry and run away...i mean its not an everyday occurrence.
I would just take it to the local hospital and tell them what happened and when.
I would call nobody..I was fainted!!!
When you picked it up why didn't you continue to follow the ambulance? It was probably the person inside who owned the foot. I think calling all the local hospitals would be a good idea. I'm sure that the hospital that needs the foot will let you know when you find the right one. Hope this helps.

you obviously call 911, or whatever the road emergency number is, perhaps *911? It's posted onthe high way. If not, regular 911 can connect you to the proper authorities. Or you could have followed the ambulance to the hospital. I'm sure honking and following behind while trying to show them the cooler would get their favorable attention rather than unfavorable.
