Why do people put jokes about after something so tragic?!

Question: For example when steve irwin died, after a day or 2 you get jokes sent on your mobile or you see them on the internet,i think its really sick,it was only yesterday we found out jeremy beadle died, and next you know they is jokes all over about them..not nice, whoever starts them, imagine how they would feel if some sick joke was put up if they had a loss?

I agree. I have suffered a great tragedy in my own life and never partake in these sick jokes. usually the people who find it funny have never experienced anything more than a pet dying.

Just to add, I do have a sense of humour, I just feel these jokes are cruel so soon after a tragic event.

I don't know about Steve Irwin, but Jeremy Beadle would have appreciated the humour. What do you want? A black parade? Lighten up a bit!

rip jeremy beadle, life dealt him a sh it hand

i heard he hand a small hand in his own death

his cremation is gonna be live on tv: you've been flamed

i heard he had a really big penis... on the other hand it was quite small

actually though, for all his hard work and entertainment he provided us with, he deserves a big hand

thats a good one have a star

It is a psychological coping strategy.

The earliest example I can think of is "Ring a Ring of Roses" - about the black death - charming that one!

Humour is actually a very normal and healthy way to deal with the darker side of life...if everyone went around "showing proper compassion" for EVERY tradgedy...life would be unbearable.

When one of the comedians from the MOnty Python team died...his friends and colleagues delivered what some people would consider a pretty tasteless speech at his funeral...it was hysterically funny...and in the midst of their griesf they were able to laugh in the face of death...this is a good thing.

meanmeanmean

I know.. there are some really sick people around these days. You shouldnt make jokes about the dead...

think its just human nature.. and jeremy obv loved a joke anyway. but its is sick sumtimes

Humour is a very common reaction to stressful events.

The jokes would not be funny if they were told about some anonymous, ordinary person. But celebs who in life exploited the limelight and craved public attention in some ways invite such post-mortem piss-taking.

I don't get it. Can someone explain the punch line to this joke?

Cos some people are idiots... and because sometimes it's funny.
