1) maybe she is pregnant so they will be 6.
2) when you said "them" did u include her, then they will be 7.

You said that she had thirteen children but you didn't say all thirteen children were hers. Maybe only twelve of those kids are hers and she has six of each and the thirteenth kid isn't even hers.
Or perhaps she gave birth to thirteen kids and one of them didn't survive.
