He has to throw rings over bottles to get points.
There are 5 bottles marked 16, 17, 24, 39 and 40.
He has to score 100 points to win.
How many rings did he throw and which bottles did they land on?

i think u made a typo
it is impossible to get a combination from the bottles. it is at a fair so you don't win anyway.

He threw 6 rings
2 landed on bottle with 16, 4 landed on bottle with 17
he got 6 rings and he shot them in the 16 bottle twice and in the 17 bottle 4 times which equals to 100 points
2 over 16, 2 over 24, and the last one only went half over 40, so he only got 20 points for it :)
oops i misread, thot he had 5 rings.
