Answers: A father is 4 times as old as his daughter...... In 20 years he will be 2 times as old..... How old is the daughter?

Everyone above me is wrong because they assumed!
Your riddle doesn't say that in 20 years he will be 2 times as old "AS HIS DAUGHTER" just that he will be two times as old.

His daughter is 5 and he is now 20.
In 20 years he will be 2 times as old, 40.

First correct answer!

10

10

10 years old.

I think this is not a riddle, is this your assignment? LOL!

10

all real numbers

10

And "two times" isn't grammatically correct. You'd say "twice"

(I'm not trying to be patronising, please don't be offended)

Daughter is of 10 years old now!

:D

Is this your assignment in Algebra? Lol.
The daugther's age is 10.

The father is 40.
In twenty years, the daughter will be 30 and the father will be 60, which is twice his daughter's age.

The dad is 40 and the girl is 10. In 20 years he will be 60 and she 30.

yup shes definitely 10!!
