Most of these so called riddles have many possible answers. Not very good form.

I'm that good at riddles, but i think i know a few:-
3. i don't know what type of gas you're talking about, if its house gas then its because there was a life threatening leak in the kitchen which could of blown the house up

Good ones, only #9 doesn't make sense -any hospital would have generators for the important areas, and if those failed too, the nurses would immediately take over with hand-held equipment which would probably see their patients through.
But the rest are really clever!

12 - Maybe there's a group of people called Brain teasers and they're being held captive somewhere? So he wants to free them? Like Free Nelson Mandela?
