was the poison in the ice and the one who drank it fast didn't give the ice a chance to melt whereas the one who drank it slow let the ice melt and the poison leak into the drink?

Because there was poison in the icer cubes! One drank it fast, so the ice didn't have time to melt enough to reach the poison. But all of the ice in the other man's drink probably completely melted

I think that poison was put into the ice. Therefore, the man who drank his very fast didn;t give the ice a chance to melt and seep into his drink, while the man who drank his slowly let the ice melt and got poisoned.
