Question: There is this amateur music composer Mr. Vinod who has a passion for making songs out of ordinary sentences. He had worked upon a lot of sentences in hindi but now he wanted to try out his hand at sentences written in English language. He has a servant called Girdhaari. Now one day it so happens that a postman, by mistake brings a letter addressed to someone else and hands it to Girdhari..
Girdhari gives this letter to Mr. Vinod who opens it a he sees that there is a message THERE WAS A COLD DAY AT DELHI addressed to some Mr. Praful.
Mr Vinod as usual gets inspired by the line THERE WAS A COLD DAY to make a song out of it, forgetting the fact that he was reading someone else’s letter.
Mr Vinod was so excited since he was no ready to make the first English song of his life. He always composed most of his songs while taking a bath. This time too Mr. Vinod prepared himself to take a bath so that along with it he could compose his English song.
Mr Vinod starts to hum the line THERE WAS A COLD DAY. But this was not audible to Girdhari who was now cooking food for Mr. Vinod. Suddenly , Mr Vinod thought of singing like ELVIS PRESLEY and so he raised his voice to sing so loud “THERE WAS A COLD DAY!!!!”
Girdhari was not educated in English language so he rushed towards the bathroom where Mr Vinod was taking the bath and broke open its door .
Mr Vinod : “ What the hell is wrong with you ! Can’t you see I was taking a bath?”
Girdhari : “ Vinod sahib you only shouted DARWAAZA KHOL DE so I rushed to your help. Were you not shouting DARWAAZA KHOL DE?”
Mr Vinod : “Damn! I was singing THERE WAS A COLD DAY!”
