if some one doesn't hear it, doesn't mean it doesn't make a sound.... example, a deaf person is standing next to a non deaf person, and all of a sudden a window shatters... the deaf person cant hear it (so its like the same scenario as the person not being there at all) but it still makes a sound.
Of couse it will make noise as long as air is present..... bcos the part of the trees will pierce o thru the air and finally fall on the ground with a loud crunching noise
however if there is vacuum............... it will float and no noise is possible,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
bcos sound needs a medium to travelo and aior is present in vauum there is nothing present
so the answer to ur qn.
have a nice day lol
does the sun shine over the desert when no one is their to see it?
You might be missing the point here. The question is asked by folks like Buddhist teachers - they don't expect an answer. The reason for the question is to shake your experience of reality and allow you to think in different ways.
Of course there are sound waves from the tree falling, but your experience of the sound is what makes it real for you... etc. etc.
it does make a noise... my tree friend(s) told me..it was even the loudest sound ever..lol aa
if the tree wuz in exposed air, then when it hits, the waves travel in air, (sound waves) so the sound will occur.
only in one condition, the no sound will occur
if it wuz to be in vacuum!
and thats true really where waves dont travel!
yes, the sound is still made, it exists even if it cannot be heard.... now i'm having flashbacks to the Magic School Bus...
ok now all of you that said yes it does, i challenge you to prove it.
It doesn't make a sound unless you hear it because sound is made through the vibrations of the tree falling hitting your ear drums. If no one was around then it would just make vibrations, because we are the ones that make the sound.
Yes it makes a sound, it's just that no one is to hear it.
Sure it make a sound. Just because a human being is not around to hear it, other animals and critters have ears and heard the noise.
