a nickel and a 50 cent peice. only one is not a nickel. ;-) you misstated the riddle.
two quarters. they are the only two peices together that equal 50cents.
The other two are quarters.
One is a 50-cent piece. The other one you can't tell. You have 3 coins in your hand, but the 55 cents only includes 2 of them
You know this because the 55 cents from 2 coins includes the nickel, but after identifying the nickel, you say 'other TWO coins' (so 3 coins total). The other one can be any of denomination, because the 55-cent amount does not include this third coin.
--------------
Even with your mistake, I'm still right about the 50-cent piece.
You miss asked the riddle.
Do you have 2 coins as in a nickle and a fifty cent piece.
Or are you asking what are the other two coins besides the nickle? in that case its a nickle and two quarters.
you said you only had two coins to begin with, so there is only one coin left..i suppose it's one of those half-dollar coins that i haven't seen in ages.
that makes noo sense
So do you have 2 or 3 coins? if 2 then a nickel and a 50c. If 3 then a nickel and 2 quarters.
It's a half dollar.
