Puzzle lovers - the ultimate test?!

Question: You have a duck, a fox and a bag of birdseed that all need to be
on the opposite side of the river from where you are standing.
You have a boat, but can only take one item/animal at a time
since it is quite small.

In addition, if left alone, the duck will eat the birdseed and the
fox will eat the duck if it is left alone with the duck. If that
isn't enough, the birds on the other side of the river will eat
the birdseed if it is left alone.

How do you get the birdseed, duck, and fox all across the river?

First correct guaranteed 10 points

First correct guaranteed 10 points

Take the duck. The fox won't eat the birdseed. Then take the fox and bring back the duck. Then take the bird seed. Then go back for the duck.

Yeah well, I was first. 10 points please!!!!

the duck eats the birdseed, the fox eats the duck, you take the fox across the river. you have the fox, (alive and full.) you have the partially digested duck in the foxes belly, along with the birdseed in the dead ducks belly. 10 pts please. LOL

1. First take duck with you to the other side which leaves fox and bird-seed. The fox won't eat bird-seed.

2. Now come back empty and take fox to the other side

3. On way back from the other side tack the duck back with you.

4. Put the duck on this side and take bird-seed with you.

5. Come back empty and take the duck with you to the other side.

Done!!

take the duck across
~ seed and fox alone together
go back
take the fox across
~ seed by iteself
bring back duck
~ seed on one side, fox on other
take seed across
~ duck on one side, fox on other
go back
~ fox and seed alone
pick up duck

now everything is on the same side

well you would have to transfer the duck over first then you would go back pick the fox up and leave him on the other side but as u go back you take the duck. THen u drop off the duck and pick up the bird seeds and drop them off with the fox, themn go back for the duck. Thake them there and your done. the birdseed is not alone because of the fox and if the fox eats ducks then it will eat birds. If the birds try to eat the bird seeds the fox will eat them. LOL I WIN :D

kill the fox and the duck so they wont cause any trouble and then take the fox first, birdseed second and duck last.
ps 10 points pwease?

Take the duck. Leave it on the other side.
Then take the birdseed. Leave it on the other side
Take back the duck.
Leave the duck on the first side and take the fox. Leave the fox on the other side.
Go back and take the duck.

you take the fox and bird seed across leave the fox take bird seed to get duck take both to side with fox now every6 one is across and nothing got eaten

everyone is forgetting the birds in the trees!!!!

bring the duck over first, then bring the birdseed, then the fox
GULP I AM WRONG.
Well erm,you let duck eat seed first then fox eat duck then carry the fox?

first of all there will be no butthead like you that will carry a bird with a fox. the answer to your puzzle is :
first i will take the bird to to the other side. then i will come back and will tkae the seeds there.then i will take the duck back again to the same place again and carry the fox to the seeds.now i will go back and take the duck to the fox and seeds .,

This is my kindergarten question.

The answer was so simple according to the nature rules.

Here it goes:

- First, the duck across the river.
- Second, take the birdseed across and on the way back, bring the duck back.
- Third, after bring back the duck, take the fox across and this leaves the fox with the birdseed.
-Lastly, take the duck across.

P/s: Eventually all ended up in fox's stomach. Because Duck & birdseed in the food chain for fox. Duck eat birdseed and fox eat duck. Happy ending with full appetite.

Fox-->birdseed-->duck
