Pickles and kids?!
Question: Ok first off let me tell you this is not a joke for shitts and giggles..
My daughter is 5 and shes scared to DEATH of pickles.. She wont eat them, get close to the jar, if I'm walking around the store and I push her by all the pickles she freaks out. She used to eat them as a baby so I dont understand. This is going to sound mean, but to find out that she was I chased her around the house with the jar lol. I know I know Its terrible I know. But how do I get her to snap out of it and realize that it's just a pickle it can't do anything to her.
and ps, I only chased her around once, i have NEVER done it again, and will never do it again.

The best way for you to take care of this situation is by asking her why is she so afraid of the pickles. If she says that she doesn't know then you are just going to have to figure it out on your own.
The first thing that came to my mind when I was reading your question was that there was this exact topic on a episode of Maury. The only way that the people on the show stopped being so afraid of what they were afraid of was by putting them underneath hypnoses. I do not think that this is needed. I just wanted to tell you that she is not the only one out there with a problem like this.
Maybe someone scared her by putting something creepy on it like spiders or worms and made her eat it.
You should think to yourself about how and when this all got started.
hahas sounds like you hav problems put a blindfold around her eyes and feed it to her if she like them then tell her u fed her one if she doesnt then........good luck :)
Maybe you could try eating one in her presence to show her that they cant harm her.

i love pickles, anywhoo, i am scared of pinnapple, it is terrible ,duscusting,and scary. just let her grow out of it
There are usually reasons for stuff like this, did she see a movie or something on T.V.?

I don't mean to imply anything but there's a real ugly possibility that molestation may be involved. I have a lesbian friend that won't go near hot dogs because she was molested when she was young.

Don't freak her out. You must respect what she's afraid of.
I'm scared of something you touch almost everyday when you're going shopping that other people aren't scared off. I will never stop being scared of it.
