A murder Riddle im stumped on?!
Question: A man and a wife went on a trip to the Swiss Alps. The wife got into an accident and died, but one man in America, who didn't know the man personally knew that he had murdered his wife. The man was taken to court and in the end confessed. How did he know that the man had murdered her?
Please help me on this riddle. My teacher says it has something to do with the man in America's job? Im stumped but think that the man in america studies avalanches x.x.

the guy probably was an airplane attendant or one of those ticket collectors. He realized something was fishy when one was a round way, and the other was a one way.
or
Th guy who accused the man of murder, hired him to kill the woman and knew he was a hitman.

because the man in america was the actual husband of the woman... just a guess...

The man was an airline ticket guy. He kinda knew the guy. The man bought a one-way ticket for his wife and a round-trip for himself, thus, the ticket guy knew something was up.
