Yes. I'm sure there are different versions, but the main idea is this:

You come to a fork in the road. One path leads to paradise and one path leads to sudden death. There are two men standing at the fork in the road. One always tells the truth, and one always lies. You know this, but you don't know which is which. You are allowed to ask one question. What question will you ask to determine which path to take?

And the answer:
You should ask "Which path will the other man tell me leads to paradise?" Then you take the opposite path.

The reason:
Call the paths A and B. Say whichever man you ask points to path A. If the man you asked is the truth-teller, he is telling you that the liar would point to path A. If the liar pointed to path A, that would be a lie, and you should take path B. If the man you asked is the liar, he is lying when he tells you the truth-teller would point to path A. That means the truth-teller would really have pointed to path B, and this is the path you should take.

Complicated explanation, I know, but there it is.

i remember such a riddle, but just like u dont remember the answer

why dont you ask this fellow here, were all in here anyway!!! I know this for a fact Im puzzled say as you, for I ask this fellow already!!! and Im lost as he his!!!

lovecomic!!!

i think its like this- one man is a liar and the other says the truth. you can ask each guy one question. How can you find the riteway leading to the town...

and i think the answer is-- ask each guy-"if i ask the other person the way to the town in which direction will he point?" . the answer to the qstn would be the same irrespective of the person you ask ie they would point towards the wrong way. take the opposite path..that will take you safetly to town..
