Ask someone!!

I would just turn them all on

Easy!. Turn one one switch - wait a minute then turn on the second switch and wait 5 seconds.

Then, turn them off and enter the room

The "HOT" bulb belongs to switch one
The "WARM" bulb, switch two
and the "COLD" bulb, switch three

stick your head in the door, and flip the switches while watching which light goes on for each switch...

Can I leave the room's door open?

you can flip one switch and then leave it on for awile and then shut it off. and flip another and leave it on. and walk in the room. then one thats off and warm is the first on your switched. the one thats on is the one thats on on the outside, and then last switch goes to the one that hasnt been touched.

Go in the room and attatch a transmitter to the light, go outside and use the receiver on the switches to figure out which line carries the signal. Or just have a friend flick switches for you while your in the room. ;D

since it is stated that the 'three light bulbs are inside the room' (room which is singular, not rooms) then you can switch any or all of them for the bulb/s to light up...... got it?...

I am not switched on to this and nothing clicked, and so, I can only answer with a similar riddle for a little light relief - and you even get the answer!

A man lives at the top floor of a twenty-storey tower block. When he comes home from work, if it has been a fine sunny day, he presses the button for the fifteenth floor, gets out there and walks the rest of the way up the stairs to his flat.

If it has been raining that day, he presses the 20th floor button and goes all the way up in the lift.

Explanation: He is a midget. On rainy days, he carries an umbrella and uses that to press the top button. If it is a fine day, he has no umbrella and can only reach the 15th button.

Some lack of foresight and the height of stupidity if you ask me! No credit for not answering your riddle - but how about a star for mine?

open the door but don't enter the room and work the switches

Turn the first two switches on and leave them on for 2 minutes. Then turn the second switch off and enter the room after half a minute. Feel the two bulbs that are not lit. The warmer of the two belongs to the second switch, and the one that is not at all warm is of the third switch. The bulb that is on is of the first switch.

When there is order/pattern you can tell which switch is connected to which bulb, as in a hotel. But often, the work is done by an apprentice ( the supervisor having gone for his coffee breaks) who takes delight in making me take the guessing game.Ha! Ha! Hope I've answered your question.
