if the first room is full of raging fires, the room should be burned down, so there will be a hole in the place. he can now escape by going through where the first room was.
I would say the lions. If they haven't eaten in three years then they would be dead. It might smell, but theres also a good chance that alot of decomposing would had happened two years back.
The third as the lions will probably be dead by now (unless they'v been given saline or sumthn?)
