For some people don't have a sense of humour seaman. My type of humour with my friends is that i'll pretend to insult them jokingly with a straght face, they all know im funning. On here I think its because people can't see your face and read what you've said all wrong.
If i said to you....oh away you go you daft irishman.....you'd know i was joking.....others would take it seriously.
Now go and do something contructive you silly old fool!!!!

IDK, that is a really good question. I'll sit there and joke with people and then they take it all serious and stuff and then you just wanna strangle them because they get all mad at you and stuff.

Well my friend, some people really don't have a sense of humor. And others may not be as adept at figuring out when someone is joking because they are more serious people, or they don't know you, or when you're joking. I guess we are all different in that respect. I know you, and your humor, and I like both.!
For some people it's hard to look at the silliness that comes with life. It's ok to laugh at yourself.Sometimes it's ok to laugh at others,as long as no one gets hurts.
If I am in the Jokes and Riddles room,then I know that the stuff posted are either jokes or riddles, If you don't understand it,pass it up,go to the next one,But don't report them.Just because you don't get it doesn't mean somebody else wont either.
maybe it's because they can't see your facial expressions to tell. or maybe they are just a bunch of poops.
I think its a serious lack of humor..somedays its hard for me to smile and carry on also.. Maybe some folks are just having a down day.. who knows.

Haven't been able to figure that one out myself. Even in face-to-face situations when it's so obviously clear it's all about the jest. Don't know if it's miscommunication or something wrong with the recipients receptors. Must go back to my lab and research this one. Do I have any volunteers from the crowd to be my guinea pigs?

It's because they're square,indoors,fear of something,who knows what.They have no self-confidence and don't even have humours themselves.

some people just aint got a sense of humour and dont get what your on about.i me and my mates joke all the time to gether but we dont take it serious.some people i dont coz they just dont get it and there so sour faced. sometimes i look at them and think if they just had a good fart and got that thing out sticking side ways up there **** they might be better!!

it is ridiculous that they react strongly in the negative to what is often obviously a joke
i believe that some people are so reactive that when they see a trigger word in a question or post they respond without bothering to read the whole thing (getting hold of the wrong end of the stick)
this is not just the case with jokey questions but many others too......the funniest are those who read a headline, post a question and forget to read the article ........
yeah...you see this a lot...people need to just learn to laugh and have a good time once in a while!

They are to busy wrapped up in there own little world to see the funny side of anything.
Everything is taken seriously... What miserable lives they must have.
