What do you think of my rhyme?!
Question: Tis another day so I will share,
These thoughts of mine do I dare?
Still I find you sweet and kind,
I must wonder if I am blind.
Many times a word you don’t say,
Are you simply out to play?
So much I want to read your heart,
I wonder if mine will tear apart.
Then I remember it’s already been,
So I’ve safeguarded like a hen.
So much I want to let you in,
Be much more than just a friend.
Still the distance is clear,
Thank God you don't fill me with fear.
I know well enough of letting go,
I should simply let things flow.
God taught me to withstand,
Held my heart within His hand.
Kept me when I should have cracked,
This I tell you as a fact.
He’s blessed me in ways no other can,
I know for my life He has a plan.
The patience He gave will see me through,
I’ll do all the things that I must do.
I know He’ll always lead my way,
Won’t let me go too far astray.
I wonder if my words make sense,
Don’t want to give any offense!
Now I know it’s almost time,
I must stop this little rhyme.
With my last words I will say,
I hope you don’t just want to play.
