Question: If a king is dead and he has a son but that king has a brother who is next in line!?
okay so there is an older brother and he is king and his wife has a son but the king also has a brother!. if the king dies who is next in line the brother or the son!? and if the son is next in line what does it take for the king's brother to be the king!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ok, that took a bit to figure out!. But I think I know what you're asking!. Next in line is the King's son!. But if the son is young enough (a child) then generally the brother would rule the kingdom until the dead king's son comes of age!. What it would take for the brother to become king would be for the son to die!. Lots of danger there, right!?!? I mean think of it, the king's son is only a baby so if he somehow mysteriously died or disappeared before he came of age then the king's brother would stay king for life, scary right!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Of course the son is next in line!. If the son is underage, the brother can act as regent (temporary ruler/guardian of the son)!. In history, this has been a major problem because sometimes, the regent uses this opportunity to permanently seal himself as the king using the support from his followers!. Then the boy has no chance now because he is too young to take it back!. The brother can also become king if he kills the son!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
