Question: Is the h&k !.45 strong enough to knock someone with body armor down!?
I am joining the border patrol soon and heard of the mexican zetas!. These guys use full body armor and automatic rifles!. just woundering if a !.45 has the abilty to knock one of these guys on there *** if i encounter one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

OK, I gotta chime in on this one!. If you shoot someone wearing class 1 body armor, with a !.45 hollow point, it won't even make them fall over!. The force conducted by a !.45 round is only dangerous when it is concentrated into one small area (the size of a bullet)!. Body armor distributes the force over a much larger area, reducing the pressure applied at any one point!. That's the idea behind body armor!. Hardened (ceramic plate) armor won't even leave a bruise on you when you get shot!. The movies that show people getting knocked all over the place after being shot are simple Hollywood BS!. If you encounter criminals in body armor, either shoot for the head, or get a better weapon!. The government and military do have armor piercing rounds that will penetrate the cheaper armor types, but to get through something like Second Chance armor would require something along the lines of !.478 nitro express!. These are the times where flash/bang grenades come in very handy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I suspect yes, if a round strikes you while wearing body armour from what I've heard it's like a sledgehammer!. But then again thats just from what I've heard (probably more suited to rifle rounds), a !.45 is pretty high cal!. though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
a !.45 cal will knock you on your arss,I dont care what you are wearing!.If you aim for the torso,most likely you will either break or badly bruise some ribs !.Www@Enter-QA@Com
