Question: If you take a walk down a road, to a bar at the end of it,!?
at some point you will be half way, then from this point you will carry on and again from the half way point you will come to a 2nd point which is half way between the half way point and the pub, you carry on walking and again you will come to a point half way between the 2nd point and the pub, each time getting closer to the pub but the distence halving each time, if you keep on halving the distance you will come to infitesimal small distances but still be able to halve them, so how will you ever be able to reach the pub!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

My dad told me a version of this were technically the tortoise should have beat the hare because of this principle but your speed stays constant while the distance grows shorter so the principle doesn't apply!. Cool actually understanding a question for once, YAY two points! :DWww@Enter-QA@Com
Going to the bar is no problem!. The last distances are so small you will be leaning on the bar!. The problem comes when, after several beverages, and feeling no pain, you start to stagger back!. You then realise that however long you walk you will never get to half way, because of the numerous diversions, let alone all the way!. Only one answer lie down, look up and enjoy the stars and think up more stupid questions to post on Yahoo!.answers!.

i don't know what you are trying to prove with this one, but the way I see it: if you're on the way to the pub and you're thinking about **** like this, you might just want to turn around and go in the other direction!.

You halve the distances, but you cover each progressive half at twice the speed of the previous one, so you continue to the pub at normal rate, towards that well earned pint!.
