6 adults and 2 childrens must cross an old bridge at night!. the bridge can only hold one adult or two children at any one time!. anyone crossing the bridge must carry a flashlight!. theres only one flashlight!.
the rules are:
one child can cross alone
or
one adult can cross alone
or
two children can cross together

Have both children go across the bridge with the flashlight, send one child back with the flashlight, send one adult, send back the other child and repeat until all the adults are over!. That should be four trips per adult, making it twenty-four trips in all!. But at the end, with one child behind, sending the other child with the flashlight to the child that went back and accompanying him back to where the other adults are would make another two trips, making the total number of trips the same amount of letter there are in the alphabet!.!.!. (26 for those who are put off by my explanation!.)

first have the two children go together and have them both hold the flashlight then have the adults go one at a time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
