If people REALLY think that race doesn't matter about people, then why do I !
Question: If people REALLY think that race doesn't matter about people, then why do I see the most violent threats and--
responses posted when someone makes a joke about race!? (ex: "I would like to smack, I could kick your a**, you should be beaten, I could kill, etc!., etc!.,etc!.) Why do you get so mad when someone else practices their First Amendment Right!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
People want to race to matter, but only insofar as *they* want it to matter, and only in circumstances that *they* find to be acceptable!.
Technically speaking, if race *truly* did not matter, then neither would racist jokes, because nobody would care about the joke!. To give an example, imagine someone making a joke about people that have skin!.!.!.there would be no offense taken, because nobody cares about that as a concept!. It is only things such as race that people care about but claim not to where such offense arises!.
Ultimately, until we stop identifying race as a distinguishing characteristic beyond simple appearance, it will be important!.
