I can't find the chart online anymore (darnit), but marrying your first cousin is legal in quite a few states, not just Virginia!. :-) I'm almost positive, though, that it just can't be DOUBLE first-cousins!. That means that if your mom's sister married your dad's brother, you couldn't marry their daughter because she'd be your cousin on both sides already!. Now, if your dad had two brothers and they each married two different (unrelated) women and had children with them, and you and your sibling each married one of those children - that would be legal!. I'm not so sure if you guy's kids could marry or not!. That's kinda hard to think about!.
Then again, I did meet someone who found out three years into a relationship that the guy she'd been dating was her half-brother - they'd already had a kid!.
