Puzzle that is very puzzling?!

You have to think of it like this:
Each man paid 10 pounds!. 3*10=30
Then they each got a pound back meaning that they now only paid 9 pounds each!. 3*9=27

Therefore, 30 (the original amount) minus the 3 pounds they each got back = 27!. Then the bellboy has the other 2 pounds!. So therefore the 27 pounds minus the 2 pounds = 25 ^_^

All you have to do is think of it from a different point of view!. The mistake most people make is this: The total is 25 so the men got 1 pound each back and the bellboy got 2!. That means that if they paid the money back it would be 3 pounds + the 25 pounds which makes 27!. Then add the 2 the bellboy has and that makes 29!. That is why people get confused!. They think of it differently!.
