The only way to answer that is by asking yourself a few things:
1!. Is this a close relative/friend that I can trust!?
2!. Has this person lied to you berfore!?
3!. Could this person be joking with you!?
4!. How did this person's facial/body features look like to you as they were saying them!?
5!. Was the person intoxicated at the time they said it to you!?
