Question: Riddle about two buckets of water!?
the buckets are wider at the top than at the bottom, one bucket only holds 3 litres while the other only holds 5 litres!. how can i get 4 litres!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Start with both buckets empty!. Fill the three liter bucket with water then pour the entire contents into the 5 liter bucket!. Fill the three liter bucket a second time and use it to fill the 5 liter bucket to the rim!. Set the 3 liter bucket with one liter of water remaining in it aside and empty the 5 liter bucket completely!. Pour the one liter of water that is in the 3 liter bucket into the 5 liter bucket!. Refill the 3 liter and empty it into the five liter bucket!. Voila! The five liter bucket now holds four liters of water!. And you just wasted 5 liters of water!. Hey, Pal, we're having a drought here!. Go buy a 6 liter graduated measuring cup you cheapskate!Www@Enter-QA@Com
fill the 5 litre bucket
pour 3 litre from the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket
empty the 3 litre bucket
pour the remaining 2 litre from the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket
fill the 5 litre bucket again
pour 1 litre from the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket which is now holding 2 litres
now you have a 5 litre bucket with 4 litres of water, a 3 litre bucket with 3 litres of water and 3 litres of water down the drain!. I'm better at saving water than the other guy (bilgerat13) aren't I :DWww@Enter-QA@Com

Fill up the 5 liter bucket and from it fill up the 3 liter bucket!. You will have 2 liters left in the 5 liter bucket!. Empty the 3 liter bucket and put the 2 liters from the 5 liter bucket into the 3 liter bucket!. Re-fill the 5 liter bucket and then fill up the 3 liter bucket from the 5 liter bucket!.
