a man dies and goes to heaven!.
He hears a beautiful soulful woman singing the blues and asks st Peter, "who is that!?"
St Peter replies "oh, that is Janis Joplin, she sure can sing, huh!?"
The man then hears The most hypnotizing salsa beat and sees a man playing percussion!. "Tito Puente!" says st!. peter!. "He keeps us dancing up here!"
The man then hears whaat can only be described as a wailing guitar, crying and singing in a way as to make him cry!. He sees a slim long haired man working his instrument as if it were an extention of his body and soul!. He recognises this man and says to st Peter "I can't believe I am seeing Eric Clapton! This is amazing!!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Wait a minute, Clapton isn't dead!."
St Peter sighs and says to the man, "Oh, that's not Eric Clapton!. That's God!. He THINKS he's Eric Clapton!."

You would have to know that when Clapton was in the Yardbirds there was graffiti all over the place saying "Clapton is God" to really understand the joke!. I being the biggest Eric Clapton fan on earth of course know this!. Just kidding you may have me beat for biggest fan by a hair but I'm still his second biggest fan!. It was a really funny joke for those that love Clapton's music and the rest don't matter anyway!.
