Well Aditya is right on the money!. It is about the first letter of each, the first letter of each can be used to start a new word!. Count the pictures, does that number remind you of anything!? Think of something pretty common that there are that many of them, where one has recently been taken away!.

Sorry that's kind of cryptic but I don't want to just give the answer away!. So here's another hint!. If I were to add another picture onto the far LEFT of this sequence it would probably be something like this:
